My DNR to The World

Like the title says, this is my (Brad Yanagida) DNR to the world. If I’m ever in a state where it is verifiable that I’m not there, then please DNR. Obviously, this isn’t a legal document, but you never know what could happen. This post exists in the event that something does happen to me before I get one done,

The intent of this post isn’t to be morbid. I just don’t want to live life if I can’t actually live it. Obviously, it’s not black and white; what if someone’s mentally there but they’re a quadriplegic because they’re in an accident? Some people would say they’re okay with that and want to continue, some people would not.

What if someone loses their vision completely? Some people would be okay with that but what if they were a painter and it was their whole life? It’s possible that person would not be able to adjust.

I didn’t want this post to be too long, because there’s much to expand upon. The point is that if life gets to the point where I’m unable to take care of myself because of circumstances out of my control, I’d like to be let go. If it’s borderline and I’m able to coherently give you an answer, then check with me. Even if it ends up that I would rather have not been resuscitated, there are places that offer dignified solutions for that.

Admittedly, this post was a bit gloomy, for something a bit more… normal? Check out this post about a driver’s perspective on what happens after you order Uber Eats/Doordash.
